PFG 8.4 introduces Valeo, PowerMAXX and Perseo Open.

Valeo introduces a new, complete product line featuring a highly flexible choice of signal processing, performance enhancers and fitting levels, to provide fitters the freedom to design the best sound solution. Within PFG 8.4, the SoundSelect Manager ensures the correct signal processing strategy is used in each Valeo hearing program. It does so based on the client’s audiometric data and the hearing programs chosen.

The Valeo MultiMode Feedback Manager incorporates a comprehensive feedback management system, allowing fitters to quickly target fit-related or incidental, dynamic feedback, all at the click of a button.

With the introduction of PowerMAXX, PFG 8.4 introduces another new fitting tool for power fittings, the BassBoost, a unique low frequency amplification boost. PFG automatically sets the right BassBoost setting for each client, but also allows the fitter to manually change the boost, ensuring the right low frequency setting for PowerMAXX, the world’s most powerful miniature digital hearing instrument.

PFG 8.4 also introduces Perseo Open, and opens the door to ultimate clarity, performance and convenience for clients with steeply sloping or mild hearing loss. When fitting a Perseo Open, PFG 8.4 automatically activates OpenSound technology, which creates the perfect balance between the right fitting formula, the right pre-calculation and the right feedback management. The result – true open fittings, ultimate clarity and no feedback.

And of course, Perseo Open features all the Perseo benefits. Perseo is the first digital hearing system with PersonalLogic and dual-base automatic for spontaneous and enduring user satisfaction.

PersonalLogic in Perseo Open enables transparent and effective automatic operation for wearers moving between different acoustic environments.

Dual-base automatic is unique to Phonak and allows the signal processing and the configuration of the instrument features to be programmed and tuned independently for quiet and noisy situations giving optimum automatic performance. Adjustments for processing in noise never compromise the settings for quiet situations, and vice versa. The Listening Situation Manager in PFG allows the professional to customize the Perseo dual-base automatic to the individual taste of each wearer easily and effectively
